| Fliers indicate write-in campaign, but Olson declines comment Saline County farmer and real estate agent Gary Olson wouldn’t comment Friday as to whether he is launching a write-in campaign for the 2nd District seat on the Saline County Commission.His attorney, Roger Struble, said Olson is not a candidate.But Olson was seen passing out campaign fliers Thursday at the Salina Bicentennial Center, said Randy Mathews, interim manager.“Gary Olson came to the Bicentennial Center Thursday carrying several fliers. He left them with members of my staff,” Mathews said.One of the fliers left on Mathews’ desk read that Olson is running a write-in campaign for the county commission.It also lists his occupations as farmer, owner/broker of Atop Realty, crop insurance specialist for Rural Community Crop Insurance and John Deere Risk Protection, and experiences in leadership and leadership training.At the bottom of the flier, in smaller type, is a line: “Paid for by Olson for change committee, gary olson chairperson.”Struble said Olson is not running for office. |
